GOLDIN ASSOCIATES' PROFESSIONALS
Matthew Flynn is a restructuring advisor and turnaround manager with strong experience in financial modeling, cash flow forecasts, cost rationalization, vendor management, claims and contract review. Matthew has particular experience in the telecommunications, media and entertainment industries and played key roles in such Goldin engagements such as National Amusements and Young Broadcasting.
At Young Broadcasting, Matthew worked closely with management to develop a business plan and financial model that was the basis of the company’s financial turnaround. He was responsible for identifying cost cutting opportunities, renegotiating key contracts and generating material savings. He acted as liaison to Young’s lenders and creditors on key business issues and on business plan diligence efforts. During the out-of-court restructuring of National Amusements, Matthew performed valuation and recovery analyses in support of the successful efforts of Goldin clients to obtain important concessions, including participation in first lien collateral releases and waivers or claims and defenses.
Prior to joining Goldin Associates, Matthew worked as investment banker at Barclays Capital covering the telecommunications and media industries. Earlier, he was a financial manager at AT&T, where he held a number of positions, including as
International Treasury Manager.
Matthew received his MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He has a B.S from Pennsylvania State University where he studied Finance and International Business.
