Shipping Expert Randee Day Leads Goldin’s Maritime Practice

Goldin Associates LLC is pleased to announce the addition of Randee Dayof Day & Partners LLC as a Senior Advisor. Under Ms. Day’s leadership, Goldin will offer world-class restructuring and strategic operational services in the maritime and offshore sector.

In addition to leading Goldin’s shipping and offshore restructuring practice, Ms. Day, with decades of restructuring, executive and lending experience, will lead a new Goldin affiliate, Goldin Maritime, that will offer comprehensive vessel and fleet operational capabilities to clients.

Goldin Senior Managing Director Harrison J. Goldin said, “Randee’s energy and experience will drive our maritime practice into a preeminent position.”

Ms. Day further added, “Goldin Maritime will provide banks and other financial institutions with the ability to maintain, manage, warehouse, and maximize recovery for their positions in individual vessels and fleets.”

ABOUT RANDEE DAY
A maritime professional with over 35 years of restructuring experience, Randee Day has been designated one of the world’s most influential global maritime executives. She has expertise in restructuring, executive leadership, corporate governance and maritime finance. Since 2011, Ms. Day has been CEO of Day & Partners, LLC, a boutique advisory firm in the maritime space. She will be supported at Goldin by members of her senior team.

Ms. Day has extensive experience managing shipping entities and orchestrating deals relating to distressed shipping portfolios, including various classes of vessels and other maritime assets. Notably, she advised General Maritime Corp., one of the world’s largest publicly-traded oil tanker companies, on its restructuring in bankruptcy. She was previously the interim CEO of DHT Holdings, Inc., a publicly-traded owner/operator of crude oil tankers, and before that, Head of Maritime Investment Banking at the Seabury Group, CEO of her own advisory firm, Day & Partners, Inc., and Division Head of JP Morgan’s Shipping Group.

Ms. Day has sat on the Boards of Directors of TBS International, Ltd., Ocean Rig ASA, Excel Maritime and Eagle Bulk. In these positions she served on numerous committees, including as Chair of Audit (DHT) and Governance (DHT and Eagle Bulk). She holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California and is a graduate of the Harvard University Kennedy School Senior Executive Program in National and International Security.
