Goldin Associates LLC is pleased to announce that it has acquired Summit Ridge Group, LLC (“SRG”), a valuation and financial advisory firm specializing in telecom, media and satellite communications. The move reinforces Goldin’s commitment to the communications practice area, broadening and deepening its advisory capabilities in the sector. Former SRG President and founder J. Armand Musey will lead Goldin’s enhanced communications group. At SRG, Musey managed high-profile due diligence, litigation support and industry research projects for clients, including prominent operating companies, law firms, investment funds, government agencies and industry associations. Before founding SRG, Musey was a top-ranked Wall Street research analyst covering the satellite communications and wireless tower sectors. He also ran a boutique investment bank focused on the communications sector.

Armand is the author of The Spectrum Handbook 2013, a commonly referenced industry resource. His research on communications issues has been published in prominent law journals and industry publications, and he regularly speaks at leading industry conferences and as an authority in the press. Armand holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago, an M.A. from Columbia University and a J.D./M.B.A. from Northwestern University. He also holds the chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation.

Armand commented: “I am delighted to connect the extensive industry expertise of SRG with Goldin Associates, an esteemed platform with a deep bench of talented financial professionals and an impressive record in communications.” Goldin founder and Senior Managing Director Harrison J. Goldin said, “We are pleased to bring SRG under the Goldin umbrella and have Armand run our communications practice. His expertise is a great complement to our firm’s experience, which includes roles in significant matters such as Adelphia, Asia Global Crossing, FiberTower, Loral Space and WorldCom. With the Goldin team, Armand will be in a position to provide unparalleled service offerings to clients in communications matters.”

We wish health and peace of mind all around in this difficult and chaotic time. Our thoughts are with those who are struggling with Covid-19 and its broad and painful effects.

Goldin Associates is fully operational, and you can continue to expect our customary level of client service.  Although the Covid-19 situation is unique, the commercial effects present the kind of challenges that we are accustomed to addressing.  As crisis management and restructuring professionals, whether as interim corporate officers or advisors, our team members are seasoned in helping management teams, creditors, equity holders and other constituents chart a steady course through turbulent waters.  As fiduciaries, we work to preserve value and as financial experts we measure it.

We hope and pray that the disruptive health, social and economic effects of this crisis are as contained as possible, and we are striving to do what we can—as community members and as professionals—to work towards that goal.
