| Manish Kumar is a senior valuation and credit analyst with diverse restructuring experience. He has advised clients in many industries, including chemicals, telecommunications, media, energy, manufacturing, distribution, retail, food, healthcare and real estate. Manish has extensive experience assessing the reasonableness of business plans and forecasts, analyzing liquidity, evaluating solvency and conducting forensic investigations. He has worked extensively assisting clients and their attorneys to develop, prosecute or defend causes of action for fraudulent conveyance, preference avoidance, breach of fiduciary duty, substantive consolidation and recovery of inter-company claims. Manish has advised in connection with dozens of restructurings, bankruptcies and business controversies. He was a key member of the Goldin team that defended lenders to the proposed merger of Hexion and Huntsman corporations. Manish analyzed the solvency of the entity that would be formed by the combination of these two leading chemical companies and tested the reasonableness of projections for the combined business. During the WorldCom/MCI bankruptcy, he advised Intermedia Communications bondholders on issues involving fraudulent transfers, substantive consolidation, valuation and insolvency and that resulted in substantial enhancements in recoveries for those creditors. Prior to joining Goldin Associates, Manish was a Vice President at Citibank and held various positions at Sumitomo Bank and Bank of America. He is credit trained and has an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University, with concentrations in finance and operations management and a Masters in Commerce and B.S. with honors from Sri Ram College of Commerce at Delhi University. Manish holds the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts’ Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) designation. |
